I'M 30 BITCHES!!!

So, I was going to make this a blog post with 30 things you might not know about me but as it turns out I've done a good job of being real and transparent and I couldn't think of much that I haven't already said about myself. Yay to me for that!

So I'll just reflect on life to this point instead.

You guys...I am freaking stoked that I'm 30! I've never once dreaded this day. It means that I've survived all of the bad days that I've encountered so far...a 2 year long divorce, moving back in with my parents, the scary prospect of living on my own...and thrived on the good ones...the birth of my son, starting my business, actually living on my own. There are three things that have brought me to this point in my life. Friends. Family. Noah.

Friends. I have realized how important a few good friends are as opposed to a bunch of 'acquaintances'. I couldn't have made it here without the friends I have chosen to remain in my life...the ones who have cheered me on and pushed me through the hard times. The ones who have told me to suck it up but let me cry when I need to. My friends have done more for me in my darkest days than they'll ever know.

Family. I don't know where I would be if it wasn't for my family. I am thankful everyday to have the family that I do. We support each other, build each other up, yell at each other, get mad, make up, goof off, argue again and then sit down for a family dinner. They have never turned their backs on me when I've needed them, especially over the past two years. My parents are the strongest role models I could ever ask for. The pictures at the end of this post are from my SURPRISE 30th birthday party that my parents threw for me this past Friday. I get choked up thinking about it because I just can't believe they did that for me! I was 100% surprised. It was beyond amazing!

Noah. This kid. He is my everything. He is my reason for breathing. He reminds me to slow down when I'm going non-stop. He reminds me not to take life so seriously. He is the reason that I am as strong as I am today. Everything I do is for him. He made me a mama...what could be better?!

I'm taking the best parts of my 20's and I'm carrying them over to my 30's. They say life begins when you turn 30. That makes me excited because I was pretty happy with my 20's! I'm anxious to see what the next decade has in store. I can't wait to get started becoming the best mother I can be, the best friend I can be, the best sister/daughter/granddaughter/niece/aunt I can be, and the best business owner/photographer I can be.
