Mom, can I just take one pishure?: A Little Dude's World Through the Lens | 1st Installment

Ever since he was big enough to hold a camera he's been hooked. My little dude LOVES to take pictures! I let him experiment with my old Sony camera for a while.

He would even fall asleep with my ancient Kodak point and shoot!

It makes me so happy to see how excited he gets about using Mommy's camera.

Every time Noah sees my camera, hell even if he just sees my camera bag, he wants to take pictures. If I take the camera out to take pictures the only way I can get him to smile or cooperate at all is if I promise to let him take pictures next. A few months ago I gave in and let him take some. I set the camera up on a tripod, adjusted all of the settings, showed him how to backbutton focus and let him go. He did surprisingly well for a 2.5 year old!

I created a monster...a very cute monster!! Now it's always "Mom, can I just take one pishure?" while he's holding up 1 finger and nodding his tilted head at me. How do you say no to that?! Last week I had my camera out to take some before pictures of a few projects (more to come on that in future posts!) and of course, little dude needed to take "one pishure" as well. So that got me thinking...why not start really teaching him?! And of course...blog and document it along the way!!

So this is the first installment! Noah took these of me and the girl. The sun had already set so we did this impromptu shoot in the house. In the future we'll go on walks and to the park and to the beach. I'm going to post all of his pictures...even the ones that are out of focus. I can't wait to see the world from his perspective!

Here is our first session!

I'll post this blog series every other week so stay tuned!!!!
