I grew up across the street from Dan & Becky...their family is like a second family to me. They were both in the Navy and Dan graduated from the Naval Academy. I was so excited when they asked me to go to the Army Navy game with them and their family. Everyone was coming together from Seattle, Chicago, Virginia Beach, and DC. We walked the campus of the Naval Academy, tailgated at Camden Yards (Go Orioles!), watched the Army Navy game at Ravens Stadium, and had a couple fantastic family dinners!!
Read MoreI've written about this group of guys before. I just can't say enough about them. They're using their influence in the community to do great things for non-profit organizations throughout Hampton Roads. This past Saturday was the Beach Ambassadors' 1 year anniversary party. They also used this night of celebration to present The Up Center with a whopping 7,000-8,000 books!!!

She has 8 children, 20 ish grandchildren, 80 ish great-grandchildren, and 50 ish great-great-granchildren. Our family reunions are like small town gatherings! It had been a long time since we had all gotten together. Everyone that could make the trip was there and it was wonderful to be surrounded by so many generations! I took pictures of my Nanny with her 8 children and then with each of her child's families. Enjoy!!

Read MoreLittle Finn came into this world earlier than we all expected but we're so so thrilled to have him here!! I was throwing Amanda and Francois a co-ed baby shower along with one of Amanda's friend...the shower was on August 24th, a month before Finn was supposed to make his entrance. So imagine our surprise when we got the call saying the doctors weren't going to release Amanda from a scheduled appointment because little Finn needed to arrive NOW!! So we cleaned up the baby shower, packed the gifts in the car and headed to the hospital. As we walked into the maternity ward we heard the lullaby play that signals a birth and found out a minute later that it was for our Finn! He had a bit of a rough start but he's home and doing well!! The first couple pictures are of the baby shower decorations, the second group is from the first time Amanda was able to see and touch her baby boy! The last group was a lifestyle session we did at their house the week that Finn came home! Enjoy!!

I've come such a long way since then! We've decided to make this family shoot an annual thing! We added someone else to the mix this year...Tim kept coming up with great pose ideas and he was able to get these 2 rowdy boys (whom I LOVE!!) to almost cooperate!! haha Emmy knows I love them!!! Maybe next August we'll be adding someone else to the mix?!
Read MoreThis was my first lifestyle session and I have to say, I loved it! Capturing a family while they're naturally interacting is amazing. We have been in New Hampshire for a week visiting my husband's family. His cousin, Todd, invited us out on their boat for the day and his wife Jill asked me to take some pictures of them. This family is so sweet. Little Evelyn liked to hold on to daddy's leg while he was driving the boat. Annabelle is a little gymnast, climbing on the bars in the boat. And Callen is going to be an extreme sports fanatic!! He got up on that knee board within seconds!! Todd and Jill took turns driving the boat...Todd needed a turn on the knee board and skis!
